Lhotel

We paid for baggage as the hotel was offered as luggage office. The girl from the reception was not showing any empathy or flexibility. I ask her if I can just left a hat with the baggage I was booked. She said no, and asked to pay a supplement for a hat... Unbelievable! When we picked our baggage I asked if I could use the toilet because I was in need, she said to me to go to a public toilet next to the castle instead of allowing me to go to the hotel's toilet. I do not pay for a room... but I paid for a service from the hotel. I have never experienced this in my life. You lost a customer, never will choose this place again or recommend, rooms seem nice from the web, but the first you need to take care is about your staff. You are taking the risk of losing many customers... I feel very bad after this experience. Hope it does not happen again. Good luck.

The hotel looked nice and the staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and they only exchanged the towels we asked for during our stay. The breakfast was good. It included scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes. It had air condition and a Private parking garage for a reasonable price and they accepted a reservation for it. The reception is 24/7. The hotel is next to the city centre so sight-seeing is very easy starting from the hotel. The bathroom was separated by a curtain from the room. The toilet had its own room with door but the room was uncomfortable small. The wifi worked only sometimes in parts of the room that were around the door. Especially in the bed it was unreliable.

I went there in July 2023, for bedroom, we booked for chateau view, but we only saw tree view, and the room was so dark which had no sufficient light in a room for 3 ppl, no water heater for tea. For service, was horrible, they said they found some saints on the cabinet that we didn't note when we did our checkin at night around 11pm. The accusation happened when we finished our last walk in the Nantes city in the afternoon after our check out in the morning. They threatened we could not leave the hotel until we pay Eur 150 for replacing the cabinet. We were shocked and requested to call the police as they kept our luggage prevented us to leave, however, police never come. We called police by ourselves after 30 minutes. Police said they wouldn't come and there was no one picking up the call from the hotel which the police tried to call. Obviously they didn't t call the police to try to solve the cabinet issue with us but just holding our luggage and threatened us to pay for something we never done. To be clear, the stain on the cabinet was red wine stain that we never had red wine in the room but were accusing us to make dirty the room and doing some light makeup in the room. Honestly, I think everyone need to take photos and video when they check in and check out the room to defend yours rights if you are going to stay in this hotel. By the end, we called the china enbassy and police to make them let us leave but they are still trying to claim the cabinet replacement fee from us. Extra cost, our new train tickets to leave Nantes that the hotel never cares the consequences their false accusation brought to us. Perfect location but horrible, terrify and shock experience with hotel.
